Sedation comes in various forms and is used to put the patient into a dreamlike state, leaving you feeling calm, relaxed, and drowsy. Some patients do not even recall receiving treatment after it’s over, while others remain awake but super comfortable and at peace.
What types of sedation are there?
Is sedation a painkiller?
Sedation does not work as a painkiller, so we will also use a local anaesthetic to ensure you are pain-free.
Will I need to be accompanied home?
Yes. When delivering sedation, we always require patients to be accompanied home by a friend, family member, or another responsible adult.
