Hyperhidrosis is a condition in which a patient sweats excessively, sometimes even in cool temperatures or in a state of rest.
This mostly happens in areas of the body where sweat glands are in a high concentration, such as the armpits, feet, and hands.
Hyperhidrosis is a fairly common condition, with 2 – 3% of the population suffering from it.
We can treat this condition with targeted treatments of cosmetic fillers, which block the chemicals that produce sweat in the sweat glands.
How is this treatment applied?
Treatment for hyperhidrosis will be administered with a needle by one of our highly trained clinicians. We’ll go over which areas need to be treated and targeted in a consultation.
Is the treatment painful?
We’ll always apply a numbing agent first so that you won’t feel a thing.
How long does the treatment take?
In most cases, this treatment can be carried out in 30 minutes or less.
How long do the results last?
Results from this treatment usually last 2 – 4 months.
Is there any downtime?
There isn’t any downtime involved in this minimally-invasive treatment. Still, we do recommend avoiding heavy exercise for up to 24 hours and trying to avoid touching the area that has been treated.
