Dermal fillers are a minimally-invasive non-surgical facial aesthetics treatment designed to add volume and elasticity back into the skin.
As we age, the face loses its volume, plumpness, and vitality, partly due to lower levels of hyaluronic acid being produced. Dermal fillers counteract this by adding hyaluronic acid back into the skin, leaving it looking plumper, tighter, and revitalised.
Applied directly to the areas of the face needing treatment, dermal fillers can fill out the ridges, lines, and wrinkles that can mark our faces as we grow older.
As well as adding volume and radiance to sunken, dull-looking skin, dermal fillers can treat deep lines and wrinkles in the face, helping you to look younger and more refreshed.
How are dermal fillers applied?
Dermal fillers are applied via treatment by our highly trained doctors here at Alban City Dental & Surgical Centre.
Is the treatment painful?
We’ll first apply a numbing agent to the area being treated, so you’ll be comfortable throughout. There might be some minimal bruising or swelling at the site of the treatment afterwards, but this usually disappears very quickly.
How long does the treatment take?
After an initial consultation, you can come back into the practice where the treatment can take as little as 30 minutes – so you’re in and out in time for your next meeting.
How soon will I see the results?
Some patients notice results almost immediately, but most see them after four days or so.
